Thank you for taking the time to get to know “Your Future LA County Assessor”, John "Lower Taxes” Loew.

You see, I am a candidate for the office of Los Angeles County Assessor.  I need your help and I need your vote to bring integrity back to the office of the Assessor.

In return, I promise to provide you dedicated service, as I have for almost 30 years.

NOT A CAREER POLITICIAN BY TRADE; I AM AN ASSESSOR BY TRADE-29 YEARS

I mainly address myself to working class people like myself.  Yes, I have been a real property appraiser for the Los Angeles County Assessor's Office for the past 29 years.   I own a home and I pay property taxes too. I am trying to raise a family in the city and county where I was born - Los Angeles.  My heart runs deep for LA County.

In short, I am addressing myself to the people who really make the economy work, the movers and shakers, the first to rush to the breach when they are needed.  However, many times once a politician gets your vote, it seems like you are forgotten after the election, when it's our turn to serve you.  I guarantee I will not forget and always serve you.

My administration will address itself primarily to the fair, conservative assessment of property value and to public service.  We are supposed to be PUBLIC SERVANTS.  REMEMBER: IT’S YOUR GOVERNMENT….WE JUST WORK HERE.

SO WHAT SHOULD THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY ASSESSOR DO?

To put it in plain English, it is the responsibility of the Assessor's Office to place a fair assessed value on all properties in the County of Los Angeles.  Since I have been a Deputy Assessor for 29 years and served La County my entire career, I feel my experience leaves me able to competently serve you as your new LA County Assessor.

VOTE JOHN “LOWER TAXES” LOEW FOR LA COUNTY ASSESSOR

Let’s face it, if you need your car worked on, you call a mechanic, right?

If you need your plumbing worked on, you call a plumber, right?

If you need someone to fly the plane, you look for a certified pilot, right?

You would not call on a politician to help you.  You would call on someone certified, with the background and experience to perform the job you need completed.  That logic remains in place, when you choose who you should vote for, for the LA County Assessor.  You want someone with the experience and background to perform the job; not a politician.  I will fight to lower taxes on homeowners by advocating for increasing the Homeowners Exemption! I will fight for you.

JEFFREY PRANG,
A CAREER POLITICIAN

The current Assessor and my opponent in this election is Jeffery Prang.  Most would consider him a career politician, but feel free to research his past job titles and appointments and form your own opinion.

This is why we need your help.  You see, Prang’s special interests campaign contributors have already raised over $100,000 dollars to fund his campaign, where I had to put together my own personal funds, to be able to play in the big leagues and I am glad I did, because all of you were heard, which is why I am here today.

You see your votes do count, because if Prang would have received at least 51% of the votes in the June 2018 elections, he would have automatically won.  Instead, less than half of the voters chose Prang.  That means you all are looking for change.

WHAT DOES THE ASSESSOR CURRENTLY DO?

Well, so far, not much, at least in terms of Public Service to those who pay their property taxes in Los Angeles County. Have you tried to resolve a grievance with the Assessor's Office lately?

If you're among the wealthy campaign contributors to the LA County Assessor, I'm sure you've had no difficulty resolving your property tax problems (if you ever even have any).  But if you're not so well connected, you may soon discover that the "public service" you receive under the current administration is often fruitless and, at best, disconcerting.
